Her doggedness, ideation and single minded dedication led to her becoming firstly a member of the Working Committee of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture, then Trustee of Arun Nursery Trust and finally Principal of Arun Nursery School in 2016.

Principal Sumitra Mitter is a very inspiring teacher and principal of Arun Nursery School. She is very innovative and have a great experience in teaching. She is very energetic and wants to bring positive change in present education system where kids are treated as puppets. Good article. Mrs. Sumitra Mitter has been doing a great job. Education is the most important thing I believe that comes after health. Here, the principal of Arun Nursery School, Mrs. Mitter being a teacher feels the same, and hence under her supervision Arun Nursery School has become the most promising preschool for children. Her contributions are really appreciable.
I agree with the author of the blog. I have also heard many good things about Arun Nursery School..Especially the principal Sumitra Mitter who is a gem of a person. She has quite a new approach to teaching: She fosters learning in a new and different approach and does not follow the conventional school formula of learning. Her husband Mr. Ranjan Mitter( Principal of The Future Foundation School) is also doing a similar kind of work in Future foundation school. Seem like imparting good quality education among children run in their family.
